Our Story
I’m T.J., founder and CEO of As You Wish Media. I’m a teacher by day, and a writer by… day, too? (I dont do anything by night except sleep so, unsuccessful cliché 🙂
When my students asked that I, their writing teacher, write them a book I responded like Wesley in The Princess Bride: “As you wish.”
It took me years to write and publish that book (and it’s sequel :-), but during the process I noticed a great deal of talented MG and YA authors who couldn’t get an agent, couldn’t get a publisher to notice them, and couldn’t get the editing their work needed to be truly great.
I saw my students’s desires to read great books.
I saw hundreds of authors’ desires to publish great stories.
And that’s how As You Wish Media came to be.
The Mysterious Writers Society Advantage
The Mysterious Writers Society is writing program I developed that helps writers develop their voices. It’s the “evolution” of the school newspaper, a place for middle and high school students learn how to be novelists, journalists, and poets.
